Baths Regular dog bathing is important for many reasons. The most important reason is a matter of hygiene. Other reasons include keeping away flea and tick infestations, as well as reducing allergies and shedding. Dog bathing is also a good opportunity to check the overall health of the dog. From hotspots to skin growths to minor injuries.
How often does my dog need a bath? If your dog rolls in deer dropping or something really stinky, bathe them immediately to prevent any health hazzards. Otherwise, short haired dogs should receive a bath every 2-3 months, while medium to long haired breeds may need a bath once a month.
